seasonal evidence
if it werent for not being able to find a legit parking space in breck for lunch yesterday or perhaps the 15 minutes to drive down main street or even more, the 400+ covers we did for dinner last night which is another story in itself...the sure sign that the tourists have finally arrived here in the mountains is the activity of the local law enforcement...as i left the brewery having skipped on consuming my daily beer i headed down the street to have one drink at johnny g's passing two cops with flashing lights, driver standing outside the car...as i left 10 minutes later a semi appeared to be pulled over in the middle of street so i headed the other way onto the interstate...on the opposite side of the highway another vehicle was pulled over and as i came up onto a semi their was a patrol car turning into the emergency turnaround, i slowed a little as i was 10mph over...getting off i decided to hit up wild bill's for a second and last beer as i needed to check my mail at the post office anyways...leaving there i picked up my mail and headed down the hill to my whole in the wall passing another set of flashing lights...i made it to the condo and go figure i could not find my keys...i figured everyone is getting pulled over and ive been lucky so far but i cant get into my place so i head back to the post office and on the way back up the hill i see the cop sitting idle on a side road until i pass, here he comes i think and sure enough he pulls in behind me tailing close like all asshole five-o's do...i make it to the top and he turns around, phew...its only been two but who knows and i dont wanna find out...finding the keys i head back the long way around figuring he's still sitting on the same drunken drive stretch making it home without seeing any further evidence of tourists or law enforcement.
